Poet and author Kathie Isaac-Luke will present her newest collection of original poems, published by Dragonfly Press. Chrysalides has been nominated for the 2011 Independent Publisher Book Award in Poetry. Grace Cavalieri, Producer and Host of The Poet and the Poem from the Library of Congress calls Isaac-Luke’s poetry “as refreshing as sweet sun after rain.” Santa Cruz poet Robert Sward describes Chrysalides as “a rich body of work representative of the stage between larva and adult and the successive breakings through of a protective covering into wisdom, understanding and light…” And Monika Rose, editor of Manzanita, Poetry and Prose of the Mother Lode and Sierra, says that this author “takes us on journeys across the globe, into our mythological pasts and into our own homespun scenes of memory to delight us once again.”
