This adjudicated fine art show displays many works in a wide spectrum of art media. Acrylics, oils, watercolors, mixed media, serigraphy, sculpture are just some of the artistic styles represented each year. This year’s jurors are Peggi Kroll Roberts of Angels Camp, CA, and Georgia Herrick of Modesto, CA.

“For sixty years MLAA has been presenting local and regional visual art,” states Renetta Hayes, MLAA member. “This community support enables our organization to fund our annual Columbia College Scholarship.  In addition, we offer support for many local children’s art outreach programs.”  An excellent example of their generosity occurred this Summer when MLAA gave a donation to Central Sierra Arts Council’s children’s Summer ARTS Camp.

In addition to the artists’ awards, the public has the opportunity to win some exciting raffle prizes, when winning tickets are drawn on Sunday, October 21st, at 2PM.  This year’s Grand Raffle prize is a piece of art, donated by Calaveras County artist Judie Cain, who won last year’s MLAA Art Exhibition’s Best of Show.
