With guitar teacher Will Kiel.

Begins January 3rd, from 4:00 to 5:00 in the arts classroom, 251 Barretta St.
Up the stairs in front of the Dome. Turn left, then down the stairs to the first building. The first door is the classroom.

Will is a great instructor!!! Very attentive, willing to listen, and always on time! He mixes music history and music appreciation along with hands-on learning in a way that keeps the student engaged. My 9 year old has definitely grown his love for music through Will and looks forward to his lessons each week!!!

Will is a driven and dedicated professional. His focus and passion for music shines through whether he is playing a song or helping teach and develop musicians. Will’s calm demeanor and attention to detail is highly evident when he is patiently working with other people.

After graduating from Columbia College, Will received a scholarship to attend the School of Music at San Francisco State University where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in classical guitar performance.

Over the years, Will has studied with local guitarist Keith Evans, retired Columbia College professor John Carter, and San Francisco Conservatory professor Lawrence Ferrara. Today, he continues to perform in Tuolumne County and beyond while passing on a love of music to private guitar students in his studio.

Will’s globally-informed style reflects the diverse nature of the guitar. A grounding in classical technique has allowed him to expand his repertoire beyond traditional guitar works to include a blend of American jazz, gypsy swing, and Brazilian folk styles.
