Art Instructors Wanted for TCAA’s KASA Kamps 2016
Tuolumne County Arts Alliance Kasa Kamp is looking for talented art instructors to lead its 2016 summer camps. Instructors will develop their own curriculum. Individual courses run 1 hour and 20 minutes each, and meet either M,W,F or T/Thurs. Two age groups of students are served, from ages 7 to 12, with a maximum of 22 students per camp.
Our summer Kamps will run from July 11 – 15, and July 25 – 29. At the end of each weekly session, instructors are responsible for setting up an art show for parents.
Experience providing hands-on art to youth. Ability to demonstrate, engage, challenge and interest youth through arts. Experience designing and implementing developmentally appropriate art curriculum. Knowledge of youth development and arts education principles and practices. Ability to create safe, inclusive, supportive and creative environments for children, youth, families and volunteers. Must have strong people skills and the ability to work well with children and adults. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, plan ahead, anticipate and articulate program needs, and work independently. Ability to problem-solve, be flexible and imaginative. A sense of humor and excellent communication skills.
Job Type: Part-time (2 to 3 classes a week, plus planning/set up and final show for parents)

- Bachelor’s or (equivalent teaching or experience in an arts discipline)
