2016 Schedule

 KASA KAMPS offer students the opportunity to learn fundamental techniques in a variety of art forms, foster in them a love for art, music, dance, theater and culture . . .  It offers students an intensive, fun, arts experience. KASA teachers are working artists and seasoned educators who have a passion for teaching  art to children.

Campers ages 7-16 are invited to come to form a ‘creative team’ that will work on costumes, masks, props and musical instruments. Students are asked to bring a sack lunch and a snack for mid-morning.
This art project can  be entered and showcased later this year in The Handmade Parade (a community performance of costumes and creations’) happening later this fall on October 1st in Jamestown… contact TCAA for more information.
Celebrating the 100th birthday of the National Park Service, the theme of camp this summer will be “Animal Characters of Yosemite”. Students will choose an animal and create a whole character surrounding that fox, chipmunk, bear, or other YOSEMITE creature – complete with background story, handmade instruments, costume elements, mask and movements! An immersive and original project that will be fun for all ages!

The Tuolumne County Arts Alliance is always accepting donations to the KASA Scholarship Fund and any amount is appreciated. When you fill out your tuition check, why not add a donation of $10 or more to the amount in order to help make this experience available to as many students as possible.

 If cost is an issue for your family, there are a limited number of scholarships, dependent upon the current amount in the KASA Scholarship Fund. If your child needs a scholarship, please call the Tuolumne County Arts Alliance (209) 532-ARTS (5787).
