ARTS resources provide entertainment, enlightenment and objects of interest and beauty for homes, schools and businesses, as well as contributing to the economy. The Tuolumne County Arts Alliance is a primary resource for ARTS in the County.

We invite you to check-in with us regularly, not only to see how we’re doing, but to be our partner in carrying out the mission and vision of the arts in California and the Sierra foothills.

  • Tuolumne County Arts Alliance Arts Academy and KASA! Kids Arts Studies Academy, are classes for adults and children, held on the Historic Dome Campus in the old Parent Nursery School Building–251-B Barretta St.
  • KASA KAMPS: is an arts immersion experience over 5 days during spring break and early summer after Columbia ARTS CAMP.
  • COLUMBIA ARTS CAMP: Founded in 2003: this week long arts camp is held in Columbia State Park, provides a vibrant week of arts activities for children ages 7 to 12.
  • Curated art exhibitions, featuring world-class artists and artisans. 2011: The Jo Mora Exhibition; 2012: Woven Arts of the Andes, Native American Show, Art of the Kimono, The Anagama Show, Paper, Print and Painting: work by Sarah Anne Graham, artist in residence.
  • ARTS-Reach to Schools: Arts Reach to Schools was founded in 1989 and administers a wide variety of programs in dance, theatre, music and the visual arts that go out into the elementary and high schools of Tuoloumne County and surrounding areas. This popular program receives valued support from the Sonora Area Foundation and the California Arts Council.
  • Artists-In-Schools Program: This program brings professional artists into area schools for in-depth residency programs and on-going artist contact for our local area students.
  • Poetry Out Loud: Begun in 2007, this national program, done in cooperation with The Poetry Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, brings the strong voice of poetry to high school students across the nation and next door.
